Total Guide Price Explained

On arrival of the ship at the UK port the balance is paid direct to our UK customs clearance agents who are based in Southampton. They will email an invoice direct to you in GBP (£)

This third payment will pay for the Shipping Charges and UK Duty + VAT and Port handling.

The customs agent will make all the payments to HMRC and the Shipping Line on your behalf.

Once the vehicle has cleared UK customs it can be collected from the bonded yard for the conversion work Fog Light and Speedo and then go for MOT Testing or IVA Testing if required prior to Registration at the DVLA.

Export Trade Price Explained

This is the Japanese Vehicle Export Company Invoice for the vehicle.

It’s the first major payment for the vehicle. The total cost of the loaded onto the ship in the Japanese port as the ship sails away from the port bound for the UK. Also often referred to as the FOB Price (Freight on Board).

Payment involves arranging a Currency Exchange from GBP to Japanese Yen.

You may use your own High Street Bank for FX. But they offer very poor Exchange Rates. Or you may wish to use an Online FX service.

However, we are happy to offer pointers and guidance as to where to get a good rate of exchange with a person to person service.
